Sagging skin and laxity will impact each of us over time.  Are you looking to give your face a subtle "lift", but without the high cost, prolonged downtime, and uncertain results of a surgical face lift?

PDO Thread lift in Huntersville and Charlotte, NC may be a great option for you.

PDO Thread Lift by Dr. Saluja with immediate results and minimal downtime

What is a "PDO Thread Lift"?

A PDO thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure designed to address common sagging or laxity issues with the skin.  Using FDA-approved PDO-absorbable threads, the procedure lifts, tightens, and smooths the skin to provide sharper jawlines, cheeks, and eyes, as well as other features.  In addition to providing subtle lifting to facial and neck features, thread lifts can be used in other areas such as the thighs, abdomen, and buttocks.

Once the threads are placed under the skin, they can be anchored to the sagging tissue and gently maneuvered to give the desired results of a more youthful, refreshed, and natural look.

Results can be seen immediately, with no scarring; however, some transient swelling and bruising should be expected.  Over time, the threads will naturally dissolve while also stimulating the production of collagen, providing long-lasting results of up to a year or longer.

What do the results look like?

What are the side effects?

This is a minimally invasive procedure, with no scarring, and often completed in 30-45 minutes.  You can resume normal activites immediately after leaving our office.  You will likely feel a tightness in the treated area which may limit initial range of motion, but this should resolve in a few days.  As with many minimally invasive procedures, the area will feel tender, and you may see some bruising and swelling.  This will all typically resolve over the course of one to two weeks.

Important benefits to note:

  • Lifting results are immediate and can last for up to 12 months or longer
  • The body breaks down the thread over time and naturally absorbs it completely
  • PDO threads stimulate collagen production, even after absorption
  • Procedure is quick (usually less than 1 hour)
  • Minimal downtime involved and no need for invasive surgery

Who is a good candidate?

Patients who notice mild to moderate sagging and laxity are the best candidates for a thread lift.  Other therapeutic options can often be used in combination with thread lifts to achieve maximum results.  These options may include dermal fillers to address volume loss, as well as energy-based devices that target overall dermal texture, tightness, and health.

Thread lifts are NOT recommended for patients that have had a face lift in the past, or have excessive sagging and skin laxity.
